Support for Peace and Education Development Program is proud to announce the launce of data collection for the Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) Project aimed at improving health service delivery in the country. The initiative of Ministry of Health with funding from Global Fund through UNDP, will focus on quarterly data collection to assess the quality of service delivery on the basis of: availability, accessibility, affordability, and effectiveness, on HIV, TB, and malaria in South Sudan. The program will target twenty health facilities in eight states across the country. The findings from the quarterly collection of data will be used to advocate for change in health service delivery to ensure equal access, regardless of socio-economic background. The new CLM program builds on SPEDP’s successful track record of supporting health and development programs in South Sudan. The organization has been working with local communities in South Sudan for over a decade and has made significant progress in improving health, education, WASH, GBV outcomes for the people of South Sudan. “I am happy to start supervising data collection for the Community-Led Monitoring project which we believe will help identify gaps in Juba Teaching Hospital,” said Asha Mary, Project Assistant of SPEDP. “My work is to supervise data collection in the departments of TB and malaria, leaving out ART (HIV) to the other partner at the facility.” Out of the twenty health facilities, Juba, Yei, Nimule and Torit will be the only facilities where SPEDP will not collect data on HIV but TB, and Malaria.
