Targeted COVID-19 prevention activities in primary schools including disinfection, provision of hygiene and cleaning materials as well as hygiene promotion activities as follows:

  • 912 HHs reached with COVID 19 preventive measures.
  • 1554 individuals (Male 692 and Female 767) were sensitized on COVID 19 prevention using door to door approach.
  • 183 PCS of soap distributed to promote hand washing as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID 19.

SPEDP’s education strategic objective is to Enhance Community mechanism to support formal and non-formal education – through interventions in Primary school, Vocational Skills Training (VST), life skills, Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) and Community Managed Micro-Finance (CMMF).

The Vocational education and training (VET) project is one the project funded by the Enabel, the Belgian Development Agency/European Union, aimed at “Enhancing vocational education and training service provision for women, youths and vulnerable groups in South Sudan” and it is in consortium of NNGOs of South Sudan namely; Support for education and development Programme (SPEDP) and women Aid vision (WAV).

Women Empowerment Centre built by UN Women under SPEDP supervision in Mugali, Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria State. The building has become the main training and meeting centre for all NGOs and the community in the area
