About Uganda-SPEDP
SPEDP was registered in Uganda with the National bureau for Non-Governmental Organization with registration number REGR12397147NB following the December 2013 and July 2016 conflict which erupted in Juba, South Sudan.
SPEDP is fully established as a Non-profitable Regional Organization operating in five districts of Uganda namely Koboko, Yumbe,Terego,Madi Okollo and Arua.

Project beneficiaries
The project targeted a multilayer of direct beneficiaries among the refugees, host communities and other stakeholders such as Local government and civil administrators.

Ongoing Projects
SPEDP is currently implementing a project funded by Open Society Foundation entitled “Support for progressive economic and social norms, policies and practices to create opportunity and promote equality and rights” with an overall objective of increasing safety and well-being of refugees and host communities and reduce inequalities between these groups in the targeted areas of Koboko, Yumbe, Terego Districts.
Objectives
To ensure inclusion and protection mechanisms for vulnerable refugees and host communities are established and enforced in urban planning and service delivery.
Increased access to and utilization of quality essential social services for refugees and host communities.
